An Adros Baltija client, which is one of the leading companies providing services in the field of logistics and ship management in Latvia, is looking to obtain a:
TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Main role responsibilities
- works with a group of 4-5 vessels
- monitors the vessels assigned and organizes maintenance working on shore
- monitors vessels crews performing their duties while on board as well as vessels technical condition, executes maintenance and repair periods
- controls the condition of vessels mechanisms and their compliance with international requirements and conventions in technical terms
- organizes onshore repairs and maintenance
- if required, visits ships with regular inspections, supervises/arranges overhaul and emergency repairs
- interviews senior officers before boarding ships
- controls technical budget, organizes purchasing (and/or controls order fulfilment) of spare parts and equipment
Required skills and experience
- maritime education, ship engineer or electrical engineer experience preferred
- minimum 1 year of experience as a superintendent in a similar company or minimum 3 years of closely related seagoing or shipyard experience (ship mechanic at least 2nd rank, ship electrician)
- seagoing experience preferred
- fluent English (written and spoken) and Russian (spoken)
- current B category driving license
