ARCTIC TRAWLERS LTD SIA, an Adros Baltija client, that is involved in the shrimp fishing in the Barents Sea, is looking to obtain a:
TECHNICAL INTENDENT
Main role responsibilities
- works with a group of 2 vessels (demersal trawl)
- assessment, control and monitoring of the technical condition of ships and their main units
- planning, organization and control of shore repair and maintenance of ships
- recruitment of mechanics, assessment of their professional qualities and compliance with the requirements
- monitoring the fulfilment of duties by technical staff
- search and negotiations with suppliers and repair companies, negotiating the repair of ships
- if required, visiting ships with regular inspections
Required skills and experience
- maritime education, ship mechanical engineer or electrical engineer
- experience as a technical intendent in a similar company (marine fishing preferred) or minimum 3 years of closely related seagoing or shipyard experience (chief engineer)
- seagoing experience preferred
- fluent English (written and spoken) and Russian (spoken)
- current B category driving license
